This weekend we had a visit from my brother who lives in Oklahama. He was at McGill for a job interview and made a sidetrip to come see us and meet B. Needless to say the kids kept him occupied (and vice versa). Tomorrow B and I head to CHEO for his first of 4 visits to the International Adoption Clinic. He will likely get bloodwork done right after that, so we will see how he (and I) handle that event.
Uncle J, trapped in a spiralling game of "why?" with the kids, starts diagramming plant DNA to explain his point...
Watching Sesame Street and Muppet videos, some of those bring back memories (especially Ma Na, Ma Na)...
Saying goodbye to Uncle J before bedtime.
B hamming it up for the camera with Uncle J.
Our harmonica trio play some foot-stomping tunes (my apologies in advance to anyone who can actually play the harmonica).

Ah yesss, the harmonica. Also known as the "mouth organ" - everyone knows it is best played while walking in circles. The kids must be prodigees! :-)
Great pics, DoT... Hope all goes well tomorrow!

And why is it that all your siblings, cousins, neighbours and arch enemies think it`s such a good idea to give your children harmonicas, drums, zylophones, kazoos and those awful rolling, popping ball things... You are left with no choice but to do the same to them when they have children to assure cosmos resmains in balance. That being said, the kids sounded pretty good, and I can see the girls are already having a good influence on B. Have fun today -

PS Your brother looks alot like you, DoT!
OK,,,the harmonica playing is too funny! I love how B is bopping to the music too. And what's with the tag team thing. I was almost expecting a solo or something :o)

The Bridlegate Harmonica Trio. I can see it in lights now!
To set the record straight, we were making a train track on the AquaDoodle (I'm saving the DNA lesson for next visit). The best part of the visit was watching the Sesame Street skits on YouTube, how many times did we listen to,"Ladybugs' Picnic"?
Also watching B eat was an impressive sight as well, I don't think Tiger Woods has that much focus.
Cheers,
Uncle J in OK
I developed some good responses to the endless "why"s when Mustang went through that phase.
Because the sky is blue.
Because the earth is round.
Amazingly, every so often these responses were even approprite.
