It was a big day today, with lots packed into it. First, we met friends at a local berry farm this morning.
We took a wagon ride back to the berry patch...
And after spending more time than I thought we'd need picking, we ended up with three baskets...
As you can see from E's chin, and A's top, we also ate a few :-) while we were there.
Then from there, we headed to a local park that our friends introduced us to. After a picnic lunch, the kids took off playing. Check out this play structure. It was huge (over two storeys high).
There were lots of other structures and swings too, and other things that twirled the kids around until the couldn't stand up straight. :-)
Finally, we loaded them into the car because it was already after the time that B naps. Of course look who fell asleep (and didn't!) on the way home...
All the kids napped when we got home (which of course DoT and I paid for with a much later than normal bedtime tonight). Then it was supper time, followed by birthday cake. The girls were thrilled with the Pablo (one of the Backyardigans, for you uninitiated) cake.
They were also thrilled with the gifts they opened from P and Uncle J, and from Grandma M...
Finally, what better end to the day could there be that getting to watch tv in mommy and daddy's bed, while eating popcorn?
That, in a nutshell, was our day today. I have a tonne more photos, including the obligatory, messy-cake-eating photos, on my flickr account. So, go there if you want to see them. (Let me know if you want to be allowed access, but haven't yet.)

What beautiful pictures! Happy birthday A&E! I was thinking about you guys yesterday, was planning to come over to the blog and comment, but the day somehow got away from me (must have been the 5 hours of driving...).
I love the pictures in the post, and would love to have access to more! You guys are looking great, such wonderful family moments!
We have got to get together and see you all (more than through the windows of the van). Hopefully we can find some time in the coming weeks!

How sweet are all those kiddies!!! Wow...4 already! I keep shaking my head thinking J will also be 4 in a month....crazy! Looks like they all had a great day! Happy birthday to them both!
