We've been matched!

Okay so today, just days after my mini-rant about the wait and timelines, the CCAA website was updated to say that files up to June 6, 2005 have been matched. Since we had a log-in date of May 31, 2005, that means we've been matched to a child. Wow. I was beginning to think the day would never come. And now it has.

Assuming the files were mailed out of China today, that means we may hear something this week. Otherwise it will be early next week. As soon as I have any info, I'll post again, and maybe even put up a picture.

It's gonna be a long week.

I didn't know you had started a blog....good for you! Thanks for the comment and really, you were the first to tell me that day so that was awesome. May the next few days fly by so that we can all share the long awaited pictures of our sweet childrens' faces.

Congrats Mommy!

G (in keeping with you not wanting to use real names!!)

Hi G!

Actually, no one knows I've started a blog. You're the first - and you found it yourself. I will be sending the address out to friends and family soon, but figured I'd wait until I have an official referral. Kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.

Hi K:

This is a great way to keep us all informed. Now we can stop asking you if you have been matched, because it looks like it has finally happened. I am just about (OK I am) crying for you!!!!

I cannot wait to see pictures. The room looks beautiful....just like it is waiting for someone to come home!!!

Great news for K and E's dad!
So to start the pool (no $$ on this yet):
Is it -

Elisa
Elke
Elpida
Elvira
Emily
Enid
Enya

Esmerelda
Eternity
Ethel

To be clear, it's not that I actually LIKE all these names - but they are possibilities.

Oh yes, sorry forgot to comment on the name. I believe I already know it, so I won't spoil it for the pool.

Woo hoo!! That's great. Can hardly wait to see pictures. Thanks for keeping us posted - we're such a curious bunch!

Congrats K and E'd Dad!!! Just had to be patient and trust that the universe unfolds as it should -- needed to wait for the perfect fit that's all it was. I vote for "Extraordinary" or "Exultant" - even if they aren't great names they fit the situation!

Big time congratulations! I love the picture, like the saying goes, it is worth a 1000 words :) Slowly but surely things are falling into place. And one of these days, we will all get the chance to meet the mysterious E.

Keep the blog going, it's great to get news from you this way (and maybe the number of questions you get will be slightly reduced).

Later,

M (from C&M fame)

Hi -- thanks all! Who knew blogging could be this much fun. I love reading all your comments. Although I'm starting to reconsider the 'no real names' policy now that I have to expend effort to figure out who's written all these comments.

So far I've managed it though. I guess my expectant-mother memory loss hasn't progressed that far yet. :-)

Congratulations!

Love the blog - I'll be checking in regularly to hear the news (and will, as a result, hopefully contribute to a reduction in repetitive questions).

Thanks for the blog address, and congrats, K & E's dad! Of course, I've had the advantage of getting the Weekly Updates, so have been able to avoid asking The Question (and just commisserate when the delays kept mounting).

I'm sure at times it's been tempting to call her Eternity - but now that the wait's (almost) over, you might not want to be reminded of it. Though, of course, there's the Eternity of the rest of your lives as parents to look forward to.

But all things considered, I think Exultant would be a better choice at the moment. Or perhaps Euphoric.

On a more realistic note, how about
Elena
Ellen
Eileen
Elaine
Elfrieda
Ella
Elizabeth
Elvira
Emmanuelle
Emmeline
Esme
Estelle
Esther
Evelyn

I hope we'll soon see pictures and hear about travel dates and all that. Brings back memories!

Well, we have had the news now for a few days, and I think we are all still a little in shock! Can only imagine how you two are feeling!!

Must add that E & ? have a couple of very excited cousins, planning all kinds of "boy" things they can teach these two little girls!! All the important stuff, like how to get really dirty, how to find the best bugs, etc.

Congratulations to you both -- we are thrilled for you!
